Picasso portrait sells for ten million Euro

A Picasso portrait, ‘Tête de Femme’ which shows the Málaga painter’s lover and muse, Dora Maar, has been sold at auction at Sotheby’s in London for ten million €. She was a French poet and became Picasso’s lover and companion at the end of the 30’s and start of the 40’s. Paintings of her were made and marked by the Spanish Civil War and indicate the emotional instability of both Picasso and the time.
